Fungi From Yuggoth is a sonnet sequence by HP Lovecraft consisting of 36 sonnets. It is named for an alternate name of the Migo, although the way they and Yuggoth are described here don't quite mesh with they way they are portrayed in The Whisperer in Darkness. A number of aspects of his Cthulhu Mythos are mentioned in the sequence, which seems to tell the tale of a man who purchases a mysterious tome that allows him to perceive or reach other worlds.

The sonnets that are of specific interest to the Yellow Mythos are :

  • 4 - Recognition which mentions the carved sign of a Nameless One which could refer to the Yellow Sign and Hastur The Unspeakable.
  • 21 - Nyarlathotep which describes the red-clad Egyptian form of Nyarlathotep.
  • 22 - Azathoth which again (by implication) features Nyarlathotep and 'shapeless bat-things' that could be identified with the Byakhee.
  • 27 - The Elder Pharos which mentions the Last Elder One, a yellow-silk masked figure similar to The King In Yellow (although it is disputed whether Lovecraft had read Chambers' work at this point) and a mysterious Elder Pharos.
