Prose piece by David Edwards in which he suggests how The King In Yellow could be interpolated into the King-less stories of The King In Yellow, culminating in a prose-poem-ish descent into madness. Published in The Supplement #65.
The suggestions are as follows :
- The Prophet's Paradise - adopting several lines as extracts from the play.
- The Demoiselle D'Ys - attributing the quote "To come is easy, to go is different" to the play.
- The Street of Our Lady of The Fields - placing an open copy of the play upon a table in the boarding house.
- The Street of The Four Winds - comparing cat's eyes and lamplight respectively to the complexion and countenance of the King.
- Rue Barree - contrasting the yellow ochre mentioned in the dream with the play's atmosphere.
- The Street of The First Shell - whispering rumours about an insane production of the play in a distant arrondissement of Paris under siege.
