Character in The Death of Art. A toyshop owner, he is first seen in London, abusing Charles Dickens over what he mistakenly believes to be an unflattering description of him in one of his stories - he is described as wearing a Punch-and-Judy man's jacket, and rumour says that his dolls are alive. He is actually an immortal cult leader who is psychically animating his dolls. He also has a toyshop in The Street of The Four Winds, in Paris. He is involved in a struggle with a rival sect.
